Keeping data safe is just as important as keeping doors locked.
Floppy discs containing data should be locked away
Blank floppy discs or any blank computer media should not be left accessible.
Floppy disc drives on networked PC's need to secured to prevent use.

All magnetic media needs to be disposed of carefully and not just thrown in a waste bin.
Sensitive papers need to be shredded using quality cross cut shredders and not simply thrown in the waste bin.
PC's must be properly logged off at the end of the working day.
A proper password regime must be in place for all PC's.

A 'clear desk' policy should be implemented to remove sensitive papers from desks once the working day is over.
